Abstract

Have you conducted research or a quality improvement project that relates to a transcultural nursing or health care phenomenon? TCNS is currently accepting abstracts for review for presentations at the 48th Annual Transcultural Nursing Society Conference, November 2–5, 2022, in Louisville, KY. The Conference theme is Transformative Culture Care, and the objectives are to demonstrate the intersectionality of culture to address the social determinants of health and illness, to identify collaborative partnerships in the delivery of health care, and to address issues related to diversity, inclusion, and equality in the provision of health care.
The importance of disseminating nurse-initiated research findings or quality improvement study results cannot be overstated. Nurses who share the findings and outcomes of their research and QI initiatives add to ongoing discussions in the nursing and health care literature. They make major contributions to the future of nursing.
Presenting findings from nurse-led research projects helps others, including nurse researchers, nursing students and educators, and nurse administrators in academic and clinical practice settings, to conduct future research and innovative QI projects.
Presenting nurse research findings advances the ever-evolving art and science of nursing. In disseminating results from transcultural nursing research and QI projects, nurses contribute to meeting the TCNS mission to achieve culturally competent and equitable health care for all people!
I encourage you to submit an abstract for your research findings or QI outcomes to the TCNS 48th Annual Conference at: https://tcns.org/callforabstracts/.
